Placenta Encapsulation turns your placenta into a supplement that can ease your postpartum recovery. Women who have had their iron-rich placenta encapsulated report benefits such as increased energy, a more robust milk supply, a decrease in postpartum mood swings, and a faster recovery.*

Blissful Birthing is proud to offer in-your-home Placenta Encapsulation, eliminating the worry that the placenta you are about to consume isn’t actually yours.

Blissful Birthing provides all clients with a transportation kit and instructions on how to safely pack, transport, and store your placenta from delivery until processing begins.

Our experienced Placenta Specialists will bring everything needed to steam, dehydrate, and encapsulate your placenta. You can read more about how we process your placenta here. There is no way to know how many capsules your placenta will yield. Most women can expect between 50 and 150 capsules, depending on the size of your placenta. The average yield from our clients’ placentas has been 103 capsules.

Encapsulation contracts signed between week 36 and 38 of pregnancy must be signed within 24 hours and will incur a rush fee of $50, which will be applied to shipping your transportation kit and instructions to you overnight. We are unable to accept clients after 38 weeks gestation.
