Blissful Birthing offers support packages that provide compassionate, continuous support during labor and delivery exclusively in hospital and birth center settings. Our role is not to steer your experience in a particular direction, but to support your informed choices. We are here to make sure you have access to evidence-based information, emoitonal reassurance, and continuous physical and practical support so you can make decisions that feel right for you and your baby.

Our certified, professional doulas do not replace your partner. Instead, we work alongside them – offering guidance, encouragement, and hands-on support so they feel confident to support you in a meaningful way – allowing you both to feel more grounded throughout the process.

Each of our birth support packages is designed to meet different levels of support depending on your needs and desired level of care.
Our packages include up to 12 hours of continuous birth support. If your need for doula support extends beyond this, your doula does not leave; you will be billed hourly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s Included in Birth Support?

Every birth support package includes hands-on physical, emotional, and educational support tailored to your needs in labor. This may include:

  • continuous labor support throughout active labor.
  • comfort measures such as positioning, movement, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques.
  • counterpressure and physical support for coping with contractions.
  • emotional reassurance and grounding throughout labor.
  • support for your partner so they feel confident and involved.
  • evidence-based information, as requested, to help you make informed decisions as your labor progresses.
  • support in communicating your preferences to your care team.

When should I book birth support?

We recommend booking early to ensure availability, ideally in your second trimester. We accept clients booking through 36 weeks gestation. Clients who book after 36 weeks are only eligible for our Basic Package.

Do you attend homebirths?

No. Our liability insurance does not cover our presence at home births. We provide support exclusively in hospital and birth center settings.

What happens if my labor goes longer than 12 hours?

If your labor support extends beyond 12 hours, your doula will continue to stay with you and additional time will be billed at a flat rate of $100 per hour. If your labor extends beyond 18 hours, your doula may coordinate a transition with another trusted member of our team to ensure you continue to receive continuous, attentive support without interruption.

This structure allows us to remain fully present with you for as long as needed while also sustaining the ability to care for other families.
