Birth Planning
Regardless of how the birth of your baby will unfold, you are going to be presented with many potentially overwhelming choices during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The purpose of our birth planning session is to explore these options and, together, work through their benefits and risks prenatally. This will allow you to enter the hospital with an understanding of what to possibly expect allowing you to make informed decisions for yourself and your baby.
Virtual Birth Planning – $250
We are certain you and your partner will walk away from your birth planning session more confident and better prepared to meet your baby. Some of the topics you will learn about include:
- signs of labor and what to look out for when labor begins.
- timing contractions and how to decide when it’s time to go to the hospital.
- what to expect when you arrive at the hospital.
- the gamut of possible options you may be presented with upon admission.
- strategies for assessing the possible benefits, risks, and alternatives for options presented to you during your hospital stay.
- how to decline options that are not in-line with your birth, postpartum, and parenting preferences.
- the “Golden Hour” after the birth of your baby and your options during this intimate time.
- how state regulations compare with hospital policies and your rights as a patient and parent.
You will also receive a copy of our 20+ page e-book which further explains the points discussed during your session, other important options to consider, and checklists with helpful “must have” items for you, your partner, and your baby.
Our birth planning sessions are ideal for women who want to know their options when birthing at a hospital, do not want in-person support on the day of delivery, but who want to be empowered by their choices.
This session is offered virtually.
“We will never forget all the help and guidance and support she provided when we brought our daughter into the world. We couldn’t recommend her or thank her enough!”
