The first months with a new baby are deeply meaningful—yet they can also feel overwhelming. At Blissful Birthing, we believe this sacred season deserves to be met with calm, confidence, and exceptional care. Our highly experienced postpartum doulas provide discreet, attentive support as you transition into life with your newborn, whether that means nurturing your confidence as a parent or ensuring you receive the restorative rest you deserve. Each shift is thoughtfully curated to meet the evolving needs of your family, delivering a seamless, elevated level of care so you feel fully supported at every step.
We recognize that every family’s postpartum experience is uniquely their own, which is why our services are designed with complete flexibility in mind. We do not require a minimum number of shifts, allowing you to receive the level of support that feels right for you—whether for a few nights or several months. Your dedicated Family Care Coordinator will work closely with you to design a personalized care plan that aligns seamlessly with your family’s needs and preferences.
To ensure availability and secure preferred scheduling, we recommend reserving services in advance. Many of our clients book during their second trimester; however, we welcome inquiries and bookings up to four weeks prior to your due date, based on availability.
Daytime Support – from $240
Blissful Birthing’s postpartum doulas offer refined, hands-on support designed to bring ease and confidence to your daily routine. From guiding you in newborn care and mastering techniques such as swaddling, to light meal preparation, babywearing guidance, and thoughtfully tending to your baby’s laundry, every detail is handled with care. We also provide attentive newborn care so you can dedicate meaningful time to your older children when needed.*
Our daytime and evening support includes personalized infant feeding and weaning guidance, tailored to your preferences. Our doulas are highly experienced in breastfeeding, pumping, and formula feeding, offering knowledgeable, judgment-free support to help you feel confident and fully supported in your choices.
Daytime shifts are available Monday – Friday.
Evening shifts are available Monday – Thursday.
Overnight shifts are available Sunday – Thursday. * Sibling care, if requested, is limited to one hour per shift.
Overnight Support – from $540
Blissful Birthing’s postpartum doulas recognize that rest is a cornerstone of your recovery and essential to your overall well-being. Our approach to overnight care is centered on creating a calm, supportive environment so you and your baby can rest easy.
Thoughtfully established routines are the foundation of healthy sleep. Whether you are breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, your doula will work seamlessly with you to refine an individualized approach, maximizing uninterrupted rest, allowing you to wake feeling fully restored and helping your baby achieve healthy sleep patterns. From curated overnight care to thoughtfully guided daytime routines – including specialized support for multiples and preemies – every detail is handled with expertise and intention.
Starting at $540/night for one baby and $720/night for twins.
Overnight shifts are from 9:00pm until 6:00am, only.

Babies don’t always arrive on their due dates! So, Blissful Birthing guarantees coverage, but cannot guarantee the placement of a particular doula. If a family requests our Family Care Coordinator to work specific shifts, they will be billed at a rate of $75 per hour for daytime or overnights with one baby, and $90 per hour for overnights with twins.
Blissful Birthing has a reputation for providing exceptional postpartum support to families. While we do our best to accommodate all scheduling requests, most families invest in postpartum support months in advance. Booking requests with fewer than 4 weeks until delivery are accepted based on availability and will incur a late contracting fee of $300.
A 5% processing fee will be assessed to invoices paid via FSA, HSA, credit, or debit cards.
Blissful Birthing does not currently accept Carrot Fertility Benefits.
