Postpartum Support

Bringing home a new baby is both exciting and overwhelming. The first few weeks home are full of new experiences and situations that you may not have anticipated. A postpartum doula will help you adjust to your new role as a parent and become more confident in your parenting and decision making. Our doulas aim to tailor our services to best suit the needs of your family.

Since 2014 our team of doulas has worked hard to successfully develop a reputation for providing exceptional postpartum support. While we do our best to accommodate all requests, our schedules do fill months in advance.

Blissful Birthing is no longer able to accommodate immediate-start requests.

Daytime Support

A doula can help you become confident in the basics of newborn care, provide guidance with babywearing, do the baby’s laundry and take care of older siblings so you can spend time with the new baby (or watch the baby so you can spend time with your older children), helping to ease your transition into parenthood.

Daytime support also includes feeding support, if desired. Our doulas are well-versed in breastfeeding, pumping, and formula feeding, and can provide you with guidance and helpful suggestions.

It is very easy to get so caught up in taking care of your baby that you forget to take care of yourself. Proper nutrition is essential during the postpartum period. Your doula can cook nutritious meals for you and your family in your home. Choose up to two entrees and one side dish or dessert per shift from the accompanying list (or from a meal preparation subscription).

Please note that the client is responsible for providing the ingredients. Your doula is able to shop on your behalf, if needed.

4 hour shift ($180) or 5 hour shift ($225) between 9:00am and 4:00pm. Evening shifts between 4:00 and 8:00pm are available.

Sibling care, if requested, is limited to one hour per shift.
